Mission

The Paratransit Operations & Scheduling position plays a critical role within our operations team. This individual is responsible for developing, adjusting, and maintaining efficient transit schedules. The role supports service planning, dispatch, road supervision, and scheduling to optimize routes and ensure excellent customer service delivery.

Profile

Essential Functions / Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary:

·         Scheduling & Run Optimization

Prepare, adjust, and optimize routes and operator schedules using scheduling software (Ecoland, Trapeze, Optibus).

Analyze ridership and runtime data to support scheduling efficiency.

Conduct field observations and on-time performance analysis.

Prepare operator manifests and coordinate operator sign-up processes.

Develop service plans for special and charter services.

·         Customer Service & Community Involvement

Respond to and resolve customer complaints; serve as liaison between clients, operators, and the organization.

Participate in public and community transit initiatives on and off duty.

·         Administrative & Technical Duties

Maintain scheduling data, perform run-cuts, and assist with report preparation.

Train and support staff on scheduling systems and software tools.

Collaborate with IT and other departments to improve processes and workflow efficiency.

Preferred Education and Experience:

3+ years of transit operations or scheduling experience

Familiarity with scheduling software (e.g., Trapeze, G-Sched, Optibus, GMV)

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)

CDL license preferred or ability to obtain and maintain

Strong knowledge of vehicle operations, DOT/FTA compliance, and public transit systems

Pay between $21.00-$22.00/hour.
