About the Roles

We are hiring for two technician levels, each offering opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and technical advancement.

Mechanic A (Senior Technician)

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex vehicle and equipment issues.
  • Perform advanced repairs and overhauls on heavy-duty components, including transmissions, pneumatic air brake systems, steering mechanisms, and hydraulic systems.
  • Provide mentorship and training to Mechanic B and Mechanic C technicians.
  • Demonstrate advanced technical expertise and leadership.
  • Support team development through hands-on instruction and coaching.

 

Mechanic B (Mid-Level Technician)

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair vehicles and equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Assist with mentoring and training Mechanic C technicians.
  • Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork.
  • Continue developing advanced diagnostic and repair skills.

 

Qualifications

Licenses & Certifications

Mechanic A

  • CDL Class B with Air Brake and Passenger Endorsements
  • EPA Section 608 and 609 Air Conditioning Certifications
  • Minimum of five (5) ASE H-Series or T-Series certifications, including at least two (2) of the following:
    • T6
    • T7
    • H6
    • H7

Mechanic B

  • CDL Class B with Air Brake and Passenger Endorsements
  • EPA Section 609 Air Conditioning Certification
  • Minimum of three (3) ASE H-Series or T-Series certifications, including at least two (2) of the following:
    • H2
    • T2
    • T4
    • H4

 

Education & Experience

Mechanic A

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Two or more years of vocational or technical training in diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment repair preferred
  • Equivalent advanced hands-on experience may substitute for formal education
  • Extensive experience repairing and rebuilding heavy-duty vehicle systems

Mechanic B

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • One to two years of vocational or technical training or equivalent experience
  • One or more years of progressive fleet maintenance or heavy equipment repair experience preferred

 

Required Skills (Both Roles)

Preventive Maintenance & Inspections

  • Perform routine safety inspections, tune-ups, and scheduled maintenance.
  • Complete fluid changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and other preventive maintenance activities.

Diagnostics & Troubleshooting

  • Utilize diagnostic software, electronic diagnostic equipment, and testing tools to identify system failures.
  • Diagnose issues involving engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and related components.

Recordkeeping

  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, maintenance activities, and parts usage.

Emergency Response

  • Provide roadside service and towing assistance for disabled vehicles as needed.

Parts Management

  • Evaluate repair needs, estimate repair times and costs, and order appropriate replacement parts.

Additional Qualifications

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Experience with vehicle diagnostic software and electronic systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work independently in a 24/7 operational environment

 

Tools & Employment Requirements

All candidates must:

  • Provide their own hand tools (tool allowance provided)
  • Pass a DOT physical examination
  • Pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
  • Successfully complete a background check

Compensation & Sign-On Bonuses

Mechanic B

  • Hourly Pay: $38.49
  • Sign-On Bonus: $1,500
    • 50% after 60 days
    • 50% after 90 days

Mechanic A

  • Hourly Pay: $41.92
  • Sign-On Bonus: $2,500
    • 50% after 60 days
    • 50% after 90 days
