Mission
As the first-line supervisor for bus operators, customers, driver field evaluation, and accident first responders, the Road Supervisor plays a crucial role. This position is safety-sensitive and requires respectful and professional communication with other Dispatchers, Bus Operators. The Road Supervisor will be responsible for performing the duties of a Dispatcher and Road Supervisor and overseeing scheduling and administrative tasks.
Profile
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate Clearly: Relay job requirements and responsibilities to Bus Operators and Dispatchers with professionalism and clarity.
- Evaluate & Report: Complete daily evaluation reports and monitor operator performance and safety.
- Respond & Resolve: Assist operators with accident reports and safety violations; correct safety issues on-site and document violations.
- Be the Bridge: Act as a liaison between operators, clients, and organizations to resolve customer service concerns.
- Support Operations: Assist with dispatching, clerical tasks, and compliance with DOT and FTA regulations.
- Drive When Needed: Maintain a valid CDL and operate routes periodically to stay connected with frontline operations.
- Track Performance: Help manage operator tracking systems and performance evaluations.
Qualifications:
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid Class B CDL with Passenger endorsement license in good standing
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in transit operations or supervisory roles preferred
- Knowledge of DOT and FTA compliance is a plus
