Profile
We are currently seeking a Lead Dispatcher to join our Winston-Salem team. This position plays a vital leadership role in ensuring efficient daily operations, smooth communication, and strong support for both our operators and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily dispatching activities to ensure safe and efficient transit operations.
Assign, monitor, and adjust operator schedules to maintain on-time service.
Serve as the first point of escalation for dispatcher and operator questions.
Monitor radio communications and respond promptly to service disruptions, accidents, or emergencies.
Support, coach, and guide a team of dispatchers to ensure policy and procedure compliance.
Communicate with management regarding service performance, incidents, and staffing needs.
Ensure accurate documentation of attendance, incidents, delays, and service interruptions.
Assist in training and mentoring new dispatch staff.
Provide excellent internal and external customer service by resolving issues professionally.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
3+ years of experience in transit dispatching or related field.
Previous supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of dispatch systems, radios, and scheduling software.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
