Key Responsibilities: (Bus Driver)

  • Customer Service: Serve as the front-line point of contact, delivering top-notch customer service.
  • Safe Operation: Safely operate various types of buses through city and freeway traffic.
  • Passenger Management: Transport passengers safely and courteously according to specified routes.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws regarding bus operation, traffic, and safety.
  • Assistance: Assist customers, including those with disabilities, in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Safety Awareness: Promote safety procedures to reduce accidents.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate all equipment safely and efficiently, including farebox, lift, radio, and emergency equipment.
  • Pre-Trip Inspection: Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure the bus and equipment are in proper working condition.
  • Communication: Coordinate detour, accident, and incident information with radio dispatch.
  • Decision Making: Make effective independent decisions based on safety, experience, training, and policies.
  • Fare Collection: Follow procedures for fare collection and passenger counting.
  • Incident Reporting: Report and follow up on accidents or unusual incidents.

Requirements: (Bus Driver)

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must pass a DOT Physical exam.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Competitive compensation starting at $15.00 per hour.
