Perfil

The Bus Stop & Shelter Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring RATP Dev USA delivers a safe, clean, and reliable transit experience. This position is responsible for maintaining the condition and appearance of bus stops and transit shelters by performing cleaning, minor repairs, inspections, and general upkeep throughout the service area.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Clean and disinfect bus stops, shelters, benches, advertisement panels, and walkways.
  • Power wash shelters and surrounding areas as scheduled or directed.
  • Collect trash and debris, ensuring spaces remain safe and welcoming.
  • Perform minor repairs, including fixing panels, addressing vandalism, and replacing damaged components.
  • Install, update, and replace transit signage, schedules, and public notices.
  • Place advertisements and ensure panels remain clean and free of obstructions.
  • Paint shelter structures, poles, and curbing as necessary to maintain appearance.
  • Monitor and report lighting issues; replace bulbs or coordinate repairs as needed.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and document findings.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and supply inventory related to shelter maintenance.
  • Follow safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Complete daily logs and work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Respond to urgent maintenance requests throughout the service area.
  • All other duties as assigned, but not limited to: facility, bus washer, etc.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in maintenance, custodial, or groundskeeping roles preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate power washers, hand tools, and cleaning equipment.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning agents, painting, and repair techniques.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor, including bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in varied weather conditions outdoors.

 

Work Environment

  • Field-based work requiring daily travel to multiple locations.
  • Exposure to outdoor elements, noise, dust, and cleaning chemicals.
  • May require weekend, holiday, or evening work based on operational needs.

Pay:15.62 an hour
