Perfil
Position Summary
Ensure safe, efficient, and customer-focused transit operations through field oversight and support of driving staff, serving as the vital link between operators, dispatch, and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-street supervision of transit services; monitor vehicle route adherence and schedule performance.
- Support bus operators in the field—offer guidance, resolve service disruptions, coordinate detours, and assist during breakdowns.
- Conduct operator evaluations, performance appraisals, and coaching to maintain safety and service standards.
- Lead investigations and documentation of incidents, accidents, and customer complaints; prepare reports as needed.
- Coordinate with dispatch centers to ensure timely response to on-road issues and maintain operational continuity.
- Inspect vehicles for safety, cleanliness, and compliance; liaise with maintenance teams for corrective action.
- Support driver training, including defensive driving, safety protocols, and emergency procedures; may deliver specific modules.
- Maintain accurate records: operational logs, incident reports, route adjustments, and performance data.
- Occasionally operate transit vehicles to cover shifts, assist during service disruptions, or provide relief support.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or industry certification is a plus.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in transit operations, including time as a driver or field supervisor.
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL with passenger endorsement preferred.
- Deep understanding of transit regulations, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with strong decision-making under pressure.
- Proficient in report writing, field data tracking, and basic office software.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
