Position Summary

The Parts Clerk is responsible for managing inventory, ordering, and distributing parts and supplies to support the maintenance and repair of transit vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and issue parts, tools, and supplies for fleet maintenance.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock levels in the system.
• Assist with ordering parts and tracking deliveries to ensure timely availability.
• Verify shipments for accuracy and inspect parts for quality.
• Organize and maintain a clean, secure parts storage area.
• Prepare reports on inventory usage and assist with cycle counts.
• Provide support to mechanics and maintenance staff by locating and delivering required parts promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in inventory control or parts management preferred.
• Basic knowledge of automotive or transit vehicle components is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in inventory software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift and move parts up to 50 lbs.
