RATP Dev USA, in partnership with Sun Link, is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to lead daily operations and maintenance of the 3.9-mile Tucson Streetcar system—a critical connector linking Downtown Tucson, the University of Arizona, and the Mercado District.

RATP Dev USA, in partnership with Sun Link, is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to lead all facets of Streetcar Operations & Maintenance in Tucson, Arizona. The AGM oversees daily service delivery, safety performance, regulatory compliance, and employee leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable service across the 3.9-mile streetcar system, connecting Downtown Tucson, the University of Arizona, and the Mercado District.

  • Core Responsibilities
    • Provide direct supervision and operational oversight of all streetcar service and maintenance activities.

    • Manage daily operations, including dispatching, scheduling, safety compliance, and staff development.

    • Ensure maintenance readiness of streetcar vehicles and supporting infrastructure.

    • Partner with The City of Tucson and corporate stakeholders to maintain FTA and State regulatory compliance.

    • Foster and lead a safety-first culture consistent with RATP Dev corporate standards and contract requirements.

    • Contribute to budgeting, reporting, and system performance tracking.

    • Qualifications
      Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience on a 2:1 basis).
      Minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible rail operations and maintenance experience, including 
      At least 5 years in a supervisory/management role
      At least 2 years in a unionized environment
      Strong expertise in light rail or streetcar operations, safety management, and regulatory compliance.
      Proven leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
      License & Compliance Requirements valid Arizona Driver’s License.
      Safety-sensitive position requiring pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
